Abstract

Objective: To analyze the importance of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Method: An integrative literature review was conducted using scientific databases, including published studies on physiotherapeutic interventions in individuals with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Studies addressing functional recovery, muscle strength, mobility, and quality of life were selected.
Results: Physiotherapy demonstrated a positive impact on motor recovery, prevention of secondary complications, improvement in functionality, and social reintegration of patients. Individualized interventions promoted progressive gains in functional independence.
Conclusion: Physiotherapy is essential in the rehabilitation process of Guillain-Barré syndrome, contributing to overall recovery and improvement in quality of life.
