Digital workflow in oral rehabilitation with dental implants – case report

Oral rehabilitation using implants has undergone a profound transformation with the advent of new dental technologies. The objective of this study is to present a clinical report analyzing the impact of the digital workflow on oral rehabilitation with implants, discussing its main stages, advantages over the conventional method, and current limitations encountered in dental practice. The clinical report was of a 56-year-old female patient, aiming at the placement of three crowns on implants 36, 44, and 46. Intraoral scanners, tomography, and digital planning software were used, capturing 3D images of the patient's intraoral area, creating a more precise model, thus avoiding distortion and discomfort for the patient. The results demonstrated that the crowns on implants were a success, restoring masticatory function, phonetics, and the natural aesthetics of the smile. It is concluded that the digital workflow maximizes the predictability and aesthetics of the rehabilitation, optimizing clinical time and ensuring a more comfortable surgical experience for the patient.
