Administration with purpose: paths to good

Abstract

This article presents the results of a university extension project carried out by students of Module VI of the Bachelor’s Degree in Administration at the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI), Campus São João do Piauí, during the second semester of 2025. The project, entitled Administration with Purpose: Paths of Good, was developed under the guidance of the professor of the Extension discipline and involved the collaboration of other faculty members in its execution. The initiative was conducted in partnership with the Nova Vida Therapeutic 

Community, located in the surroundings of the municipality of João Costa-PI, near São João do Piauí. This institution is dedicated to the reception and social reintegration of people in situations of chemical dependency. The project included actions such as fundraising, professional training, and community integration, applying principles of Administration in an inclusive and dynamic social context. The analysis and relevance of university extension as an instrument of social transformation and comprehensive student education are addressed in this article, structured into introduction, theoretical foundation, and final considerations, offering a reflective overview of the work.
