Abstract

Learning is a multifaceted process involving cognitive, emotional, and social aspects, influenced by various elements of the educational context. In this scenario, advances in neuroscience have broadened the understanding of brain processes related to motivation, memory, and attention in the act of learning. This article aimed to analyze the relationship between neuroscience and learning theories, seeking to understand their contributions to the educational process. The research is characterized as a qualitative study, developed through bibliographic research, based on classic and contemporary works in psychology and education. For the theoretical analysis, authors whose contributions allowed for an understanding of learning from different perspectives were considered, including behavioral, cognitive, and sociocultural approaches. The results of the analysis indicate that the integration between neuroscience knowledge and educational theories allows for a broader understanding of the learning process, highlighting the importance of motivation, social interaction, and prior experiences in the construction of knowledge.
