Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the use of physical, technical and behavioral indicators in the pedagogical planning of artistic gymnastics for children aged 3 to 5 years. This is an applied research study with quantitative and qualitative approach, descriptive and documental design, based on the analysis of internal assessment forms used in a beginner gymnastics program at MS Ginástica Artística, Baby category. Indicators related to physical capacities, flexibility, autonomy, discipline and technical skills on floor, vault, balance beam and uneven bars were examined. The results showed predominance of satisfactory ratings in the evaluated dimensions, especially autonomy, discipline, forward rolls, basic displacements and initial jumps. Greater difficulties were observed in tasks requiring higher relative strength, body support and more complex bilateral coordination. The systematic use of assessments made it possible to identify individual needs, organize pedagogical progressions and guide safer interventions compatible with child development. It was concluded that physical, technical and behavioral indicators are relevant tools to improve pedagogical planning in artistic gymnastics during early childhood, favoring developmental monitoring, individualized teaching and positive motor experiences.
